Carton Sealing Tape

Our carton sealing tape is another addition to your custom boxes, which keeps boxes closed throughout the shipping time, warehouse handling, freight transit, and last-mile delivery. This tape is built on polypropylene or acrylic-coated film backing and bonds securely to all types of box materials like corrugated, Kraft, and chipboard. Besides the bond, tape also helps to keep out temperature swings, humidity, and the physical stress of stacking and handling during shipping.

The standard widths of carton sealing tape run 2 to 3m; however, the sizes can be made on demand as per carton flap coverage and sealing pattern. Our tape is available in hot melt and acrylic adhesive formulations. Each of them is suited to different storage and shipping conditions, plus clear tan or custom-printed options for brands that want the seal itself to carry a logo or handle information. Order your carton tape sealer with logo prints, custom width, and printing requirements, along with tear strip envelopes.

Description

Carton Sealing Tape Makes Opening The Strongest Until It Is Opened

A carton remains secure until the tape holds its flaps shut. Our carton sealing tape keeps board strength, interior cushioning, and void fill sealed from the warehouse to the end customer.

A tape that comes loose during a trip ruins all previous effort. For this reason, companies choose box tape with care instead of picking any roll at the packing table.

Backing Film and Adhesive Formulation

Polypropylene tape is the primary choice for sealing standard shipping boxes. It is strong enough so it does not rip during regular moves, and it stays flat on box flaps without the edges peeling up.

Heavy boxes need thicker or extra-strong tape. This helps keep the box closed if workers stack or move it many times before it arrives at its home.

The type of glue on tape changes how well it holds.

Hot melt: Fast-acting glue sticks immediately and handles basic heat or cold. Factory machines use this tape to close boxes fast before transport.

Acrylic adhesive (acrylic glue takes time to stick strongly, but it handles sunlight and harsh weather far better. This helps when boxes sit in a storage room for weeks. People who send products through hot trucks or cold loading spots pick acrylic tape so boxes stay shut.

Width And Sealing Pattern

Standard tape comes in two-inch widths for light boxes and one strip down the center seam. Heavy boxes or valuable shipments need three-inch tape to place down, in the middle, and along both side edges of the box. The weight and product inside show which tape sizes you can use. Light boxes stay safe with a single strip of tape from top to bottom in the middle, while heavy boxes need extra tape on all edges to stay closed.

Tape Thickness and Tensile Strength

The thickness of a tape determines how much force it can withstand before breaking. A thin regular tape of 1.6 to 1.9 mil thickness is sufficient for normal packages. Thick, heavier tape of 2.0 to 3.1 mil is used for long trips, shipments to other countries, or heavy boxes where movement puts extra pressure on the seal.

Clear, Tan, and Printed Options

Clear tape remains the most common choice for many retail packaging. It leaves your printed box design visible without a colored line across it.

Custom-printed carton sealing tape with your logo, name, or a “thank you” message turns the seal into an extra way to show off your brand. Buyers notice it as soon as the carton arrives. This special tape also indicates if someone has tried to open the box along the way, because a person cannot replace it with normal tape.

Dispensing and Application

Carton sealing tape thickness and glue type change how well a roll performs on hand manual dispensers versus automated sealers. High-speed machines use quick glue because it sticks right away. Manual or small -volume custom tear packaging stations can have more flexibility to use acrylic tape without slowing down the sealing process
